The objectives of Parsons Mounted Cavalry are:
To bring favorable publicity to Texas A&M University and the Corps of Cadets.
To recruit members for the Corps of Cadets.
To preserve the traditions of Texas A&M University represented by the cavalry and field units of the pre-World War II era.
To demonstrate the bearing, conduct, and discipline that A&M cadets have demonstrated for over 125 years to reflect credit upon the University and the Corps of Cadets.
Parsons Mounted Cavalry is a military of the Corps of Cadets and is the responsibility of the Commandant of Cadets. The Commandant will appoint an Advisor who, with the help of the PMC Commanding Officer and staff of cadet officers, will supervise the activities and affairs of the troop.
